ADSI was awarded the GSA STARS GWAC Contract on June 1st 2004. GSA executed Option Year one on June 1, 2007
The new 8(a) Streamlined Technology Acquisition Resources for Services (STARS) GWAC is a small business set-aside contract for technology solutions.
Benefits of 8(a) STARS GWAC
Government Agencies can benefit from 8(a) STARS in the following ways:
Receive credit towards their 8(a) socioeconomic goals
- Easily issue SOLE SOURCE task order up to the 8(a) threshold of $3.5M without protest
- Award solution-based contracts allowing for combination of hardware, software and IT services
- Task Orders under 8(a) STARS are non-protestable except for scope, maximum order limitation or period of performance
- Section 803 is satisfied
- Lower user fee of .75%
