About Us
Aligned Development Strategies, Inc. (ADSI) was founded in 1997 by Dale
G. James, President and CEO, with the expressed mission of supporting
Corporate and Government entities in aligning their IT and business processes with their strategic goals. Dale holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from New York University's Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences. Before launching ADSI he worked for technology companies, such as, FMS and Booz Allen & Hamilton. ADSI recognizes that the
internet will be the dominant driver for the future economy and
has a clear mandate to support our clients in restructuring their
IT organizations in support of corporate e-Business initiatives.
Our Approach
Support Management:
We support executive management in clearly
defining the mission, vision and goals and corporate project portfolios
of their organization and in defining IT management structures and
processes which support project initiation, planning, implementation,
progress and performance reporting.
Transfer Knowledge:
We then work directly with project managers and technical staff
to mentor and coach on good practices for project management, requirements
engineering, business process and object oriented modeling, software
development and e-Business. ADSI provides consultants to work side
by side with our clients' IT associates as needed to effectively
demonstrate methods and transfer knowledge. Our focus is not on
broad discussions of philosophies but on improving the quality of
our clients' technical staff through example. Project managers can
then ensure that their projects are aligned with the corporate mission
through effective management, tracking, goal definition and performance
reporting while Engineers can effectively conduct JADs, requirements
elicitation, design reviews, object modeling and e-Architecture
definition.
Communicate and Reuse:
We work with our clients to leverage internet technology for company
wide knowledge dissemination and asset reuse. We implement Project
Management portal solutions which contain modules for Project Portfolios,
Dashboards, IT Assets, Project Management Processes, Performance
Metrics Repository, Discussion Forums and IT Training. Our portals
integrate with a variety of standard project management tools, such
as, Primavera TeamPlay™ and MS Project™, Rational ClearQuest™
for status and metrics reporting.
